What time of day is best for a session at the Mission? Golden hour is my personal favorite. The light is warm and flattering, and honestly everything looks more romantic. Early morning works great too if you have little ones who are early risers and you want to avoid the crowds.

Do I need to purchase tickets to the Mission? NO! When you book a session with me at Mission San Juan Capistrano the permit fee is taken care of and you do not need to buy admission.

What should we wear? Think soft, neutral, earthy tones like creams, taupes, warm whites and sage greens. Avoid super busy patterns that compete with the backdrop. I send all my clients a full styling guide when they book so you will not be left guessing. I make sure that you look your best!

Is this location good for newborns or young babies? The location is very stroller friendly so if you have a young child I would say that it is perfect for capturing those sweet moments. It’s ideal for toddlers through older kids and really shines for maternity sessions too.
